Why choose the Bronze package?

Prior to the Chinese Red Dog Registry, there were no existing efforts to gather data around the breed. The Chinese Red Dog dates all the way back to the late 19th century but it was only in 2017 when the breed was introduced in the western world, arriving in the UK. As such, there is not a lot of useful information around the breed.

We have created the Bronze package for Chinese Red Dog (CRD) owners who would simply like to get their dog recognised and registered and have the papers to back their dog’s credibility.

However, registering your dog with the Chinese Red Dog Registry would also mean you are contributing to a data collection effort that would eventually be able to answer questions about the breed more concretely.

For only a one-time payment of 149 GBP, the Bronze Member will receive:

•Registration Certificate. The certificate is hard proof of your dog’s credibility and details its lineage. 

•DNA Profiling via blood sample. We shall provide you with a blood vial that you will need to submit to our veterinary laboratory partner LABOKLIN (READ: Chinese Red Dog Registry partners with LABOKLIN UK). This is a necessary step to complete your registration so we can trace your dog’s relations and log your dog’s DNA Profile. Without this, we will not be able to begin the processing of your registration certificate. The DNA Profiling can take up to 4 weeks to complete once the vial has been submitted to LABOKLIN. The result will be sent out to you and the Chinese Red Dog Registry.

•Database. As part of your dog’s registration, you will have lifetime access to our database of dogs that have been registered and will register. The list will show attributes of the dog by our required images to make it possible to identify if it meets the qualifying traits. It also contains details of the dog’s birth, blood relations, height, weight, blood relations, health status, and the name of the owner. Once we’ve collected enough data over time, we will be able to set a pedigree standard for the Chinese Red Dog and label all of the registered dogs on our database accordingly. In there, you will also find a neat family tree display of the relations (if any) of all the dogs in our database.

•Member Chat. You will also have the ability to reach out to other members within the site. To make it easier to connect with fellow breeders or like-minded individuals who are passionate about preserving the lineage of the Chinese Red Dog and monitoring its progression, we added a messaging feature.

Alternatively, you can choose to be a Gold Member for a one-time payment of 849 GBP. This will entitle your dog to extensive health tests for genetic diseases.
