Chinese Red Dog Registry works with LABOKLIN UK
Chinese Red Dog Registry (CRDR) partners with veterinary laboratory LABOKLIN UK in a bid to recognise a Chinese Red Dog’s lineage, and provide reliable health tests and accurate research.
Launched 1st of March 2022, Chinese Red Dog Registry is a first of its kind in the UK, US, and Europe. Dedicated to the progression, protection, and preservation of the breed, the registry will gather details on the dogs such as its birth place, height, weight, and blood relations.
The Chinese Red Dog (CRD) breed, also known locally in China as the Laizhou Hong, is a young breed introduced only in the western world via the UK in 2017. As such, there is a lack of information and data to scientifically identify and provide concrete answers to problems such as in-breeding between related dogs and genetic diseases. Over time, its data collection efforts aim to be the foundation and basis to address these issues.
LABOKLIN UK, established in 1989, is equipped with state of the art high-tech equipment providing a wide array of diagnostic services in genetics, microbiology, pathology, allergy, molecular biology, serology, and haematology.
Together, the partnership will conduct DNA Profiling and extensive health tests via the dog’s blood sample.
